Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Preparation

This will prepare people and their dogs to take the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test.
What is the CGC? The Canine Good Citizen is a certification program, established in 1989, is an American Kennel Club program to promote responsible dog ownership and to encourage the training of well-mannered dogs.
What are the benefits? The CGC program offers many advantages. The CGC is a prerequisite for many therapy dog groups. Some homeowner’s insurance companies encourage CGC testing, and an increasing number of apartments and condos require that resident dogs pass the CGC test. The tagline of the CGC program is, “Responsible Owners, Well-Mannered Dogs,” and that is what CGC is all about.
Who can participate? Both purebred and mixed breed dogs are welcome, and there is no age limit.
